FROM is a design firm founded in 2014 by Cesare Bizzotto (Padua, 12/07/1989), Manuel Amaral Netto (Lisbon, 23/03/1983) and Tobias Nitsche (Fuerth, 29/04/1986) after having obtained their Master together in Product design from ECAL of Lausanne, Switzerland. As a team, they take advantage of their cultural diversity, at the same time sharing a common vision on design. The trio made their debut at the “Salone del Mobile 2014”, during which FROM was awarded first prize of the “Salone Satellite” for the “Volta” suspended lamp, designed for iTre. In January 2015, they were invited by the German Design Council to display their work at the IMM in Cologne, where they won 3rd prize in the “Pure Talent Award”. Recently, the firm has been selected as one of the finalists of the 11th edition of the Design Parade (held in July 2016) at Villa Noailles, Hyeres. The acknowledgements obtained and their thorough approach to the project have allowed the three young designers to immediately collaborate with some of the most prestigious companies in the sector.
