Glò S 150

Danilo De Rossi

Gló was designed by Danilo De Rossi in 2002 by taking the ancient Murano glass making technique, soffio de gravitá (gravity-blown glass), and giving it a contemporary scale and use. Gló reads at once as a light sculpture, but also serves as a strong functional light element that gracefully drops from the ceiling. Gló is available in 3 standard colors (White Sfumato, Red and Aquamarine) and 4 lengths (85, 150, 210 and 270 cm), but can be customized to any color or length (up to 12’). Gló has graced many international design projects around the world, including the stunning entrance to the Dior Institute in Paris, France. Gló does well in groupings that add an unexpected synergy to its simplistic form. A matching glass “splash” accessory can be added to give the elegant Gló an extra playful and sculptural effect.
