STACKING B TR
Stacking was designed by Rockwell Group using the idea of modular, individually handblown glass cylinders in distinct combinations of colors and sizes. These glass modules are made with a traditional Venetian handblown glass technique called “incamiciato” (Italian for “jacketed” or “layered”), where a Maestro glass blower uses multiple layers of glass, each of different transparencies and properties. When combined, these modules build and overlap colors and opacities, creating sophisticated atmospheric lighting. A gold or chrome base is the light source of the lamp and gives balance to the decorative column. The Stacking Collection is comprised of three sets of floor lamps (Stacking B, Stacking C and Stacking D) in different heights (115, 163 and 148 cm – 45 1/4”, 64 1/4” and 58 1/4”), and colors combinations.
With a desire to entertain with both the eyes and the spirit, the Rockwell Group, headed by David Rockwell (founder and president) adopts an inter-disciplinary approach for his clever range of projects. Located in the heart of New York, with branches in Madrid and Shanghai, this design group is well-known internationally in the fields of architecture and design, specialising in the following sectors: reception, culture, wellness, education, theatre and film. The secret of their success lies in starting “from scratch” for each project. The synergy between technology, craftsmanship and design is reflected in projects that merge cutting-edge technology, hand-crafted objects, special effects and accessories created to measure. Their prestigious creations can be found all over the world, from Europe to the United States, to Asia …
